Details of swap:

In this swap we will be making a Fat Quarter (18 inches by 22 inches) of original one-of-a-kind printed fabric for our partners. We are only going to swap the FQ, no extras required, so we can focus on making awesome prints! If partners agree you may send a larger piece of printed fabric and/or extras, but they are not required and you must check with your partner to see if it is ok. You can choose between having one or two partners, and there are a world of choices when it comes to technique and materials! Feel free to experiment with screen printing, block prints, monoprints, potato printing, and any other form of printing under the sun.

Also please make sure that what  you send to your partner(s) is color-fast and will survive future trips through the laundry.

Everyone needs to keep in contact both with the organizer and their partner; please try to post to the thread at least once a week to let us know how you're doing and please dont leave your partner or myself hanging if we PM you!

Please make sure you post in this thread for updates as soon as you sign-up/think about signing up.

Organizer's Note: I reserve the right to refuse anyone. If you have feedback that shows a history of very late sending, ill-communication, incomplete packages, lack of DC#'s, etc. I may refuse you. I want this to be a flake-free swap.

Yay!! This is making me excited to get out all my stuff and start playing with my screens. I'm in the process of burning 4 new screens (possibly more). It's kind of a bummer that the liquid photo emulsion potentially has only about a month of potency (I don't have a fridge I can keep it in) so I'm in screen burning production mode right now  Grin

Oh gosh!  I am really excited for this, but there are two other swaps that just popped with basically the same timeline!  We'll see where I'm at with my current Altered Puzzle Swap near the end of sign-ups, and hopefully I'll be far enough long that it won't be a problem to sign up for this.  Wink

I've kept some up to about 10 months not in the fridge just somewhere cool. You'll be able to tell when it goes off as it changes colour  Smiley

I just reread the directions this morning...turns out 4 weeks is more like 4ish months (its 4 weeks to expose the screen once the emulsion has been coated and dried). I can save some of the emulsion now for my partner!  Grin Thanks for the tip on knowing when it's gone bad. I'll keep a look out for it.

alright! I probably shouldn't be doing this with my hectic schedule- but I am sending in my questionnaire now.

sheepBlue- do you have any recommendations for a tutorial on how to use photo emulsion? I really want to try it out, but I am kind of terrified of the whole process.
