I had a really hard time trying to figure out a way to make a Little Mermaid necklace that was playful and reminiscent of my childhood. After at least 5 different necklaces and tries, I finally decided to embelish this piece with some rhinestones and small cabuchons to give it a childish feel, meanwhile making it into a beaded necklace gives it an adult-like respect lol...At least that's what I tell myself.
The background is polymerclay brushed with chalk pastels so it can have a crayon effect to it. Smiley

You got a great look with the silhouette. And the crayon effect give the whole piece life.

Thank you so much! =D I was a bit hesitant with the crayon look at first, but it really grew on me <3
