i've been working on projects in other areas, so it was nice to return to my colored pencils to create this for a freind.

her cat is a light peach color, so i started with a cream colored paper, and focused on the shadows to create the image. they appear black in the photo, but it's actually layers of purples and deep green. what i love most about working in pencil is layering and blending color.

interested in a private atc swap-i am collecting ATC cards to be framed in a collage and auction to raise money for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma research. (ACCRF) project blog-    atc4acc.blogspot.com

Simply gorgeous, (even if I have to tilt my head - lol), I like the warmth effect that colored pencils give. Nice job, I'm sure your friend will love it.

Lovely use of texture and colour.  Just looks like it is sitting on the paper.

Love the sleepy expression. Wonderful drawing. I can never quite get a cat right so I admire you.
