Craftsters, please help!!

My great-aunt, a talented crafter passed away last yr and bequeathed me with her entirely hand-crafted Christmas Village. I will post pics as soon as I can; it spans 2 ping-pong tables and depicts the North Pole at Christmas. It's comprised of ceramic houses, ceramic figurines, and an array of various reused/recycled items, all intricately detailed. It's one of her masterpieces and was once featured in The Baltimore Sun.
I would LOVE to find a permanent home for it--ideally, a museum (e.g. American Art, Folk Art, Craft Museum, Christmas Museum) or even a Children's Hospital, where many others could delight and take joy in her creation. It would have to be SAFELY housed year-round, unless on permanent display. If anyone knows of such a home I'd be so grateful for information. Thank you for helping me preserve my aunt's legacy!  Smiley

I loooove your idea of having it at a children's hospital. They would love to point to a figure and say "hey, that is made out of a....."  they might also have the actual storage space to pack it away at season's end.

You might want to check with your local library or historical society.  They might have some resources on how to go about donating it to a museum or the like, or even might want it themselves!
