I finished the cross stitch of Chewie our old chow chow. The pattern maker translated some of the colors weird but I think it still works. The photo is on the left and cross stitch on the right.

My gosh...you captured the picture perfectly. What a pretty doggie. I think the pattern maker did good by adding the sunset-ish background. It almost looks like a rainbow. And the added white puffy cloud. I like that, too. Wonderful stitching. I think you did great! Grin

And I just rocked you  Grin Crap. Time just changed here. Off to set my clocks.  Roll Eyes

Wanting 6" x 6" I spy panels. For a quilt like this:

Chewie looks so happy! I think your stitching looks great, it must have taken you so long! I like the colors too, I think it gives it a more vintage feel. And how the edges are faded/darker for the sky it makes it look more roundish like the earth is behind him instead of just sky.

Great job! I love that the clouds look like a rainbow. Perfect for a good friend.

This is awesome!  I love the clouds as well!

This has great detail, it looks just like the picture!  How big is the finished size?

As you guys are too awesome and kind!!  This one took me a bit longer due to our current dog and some major leg issues that I had to take care of.  I'm lucky in that we isn our own business and I can chill at the store or at home and just cross stitch.  It's my meditation. Customers see what I'm doing and always ask. When I explain it and show them the pattern they tell me that they would lose their mind. Haha and I find this relaxing.

It's 10.5 x 5.5 finished and I used that plastic canvas material.  This was my first time using the plastic canvas and it was nice to work with.

Once I get it framed I'll take a pic.  Chewie was a rescue and this was 3 days before he passed. He had gotten stomach cancer, that is very common for chows.  As a chow went he was so sweet to everyone and other dogs. Cats are a different story...

Tiff and Darla.
