Cut out design and laminate for stability. Prepare an assemblage piece to use as your base. I used a building block (Jenga Game size) and a children's alphabet block. Glue these together with a strong adhesive (I used glossy accents). Attach the laminated image to the block with double stick tape. Embellish as you like. This assemblage is embellished with tulle, tiny red gems, an embroidery flower and a vintage looking charm.

Very cute! It is interesting to note that the D and Q were on the same block. Was that your original inspiration for this theme? I love the tiny red gems, and your other embellishments, too. I love making paper art dolls, too. I never thought to laminate them. I generally use a spray sealant. But great idea! I will have to try that on my next one.

Ahhhaha...I just thought of how I might make mine, if the D and Q always come on those blocks together...Dairy Queen...with an ice cream dollop on her head for a hat, dancing on the cone. I'll bet you can get wooden cones at the craft stores for that. Feel free to steal that idea. You could start a whole line of D/Q items. For an entire collection.  Grin My crazy brain just pops. Sorry.

She's great!  I can see all kinds of possibilities too.  I love the embellishments you chose. Smiley

Thank you for your kind comments. I hope you will give assemblage a try. If you do not have a laminating machine, cold lamination sheets work just as well. The "dairy queen" sounds like a fantastic idea...

This is a fun new altered idea. The blocks lend themselves to make great dancing pedestals. Smiley
