A few years ago a friend gave me an old lap table & over the years another friend has sent me several calendars from England.  I've since lost both friends & wanted to create a memory of them both.

After sanding the table, I gave it several coats of white enamel.  I didn't use the calendar in the photo but took a different one apart, cut the main subject areas from the pages & used Mod Podge to adhere them to the table top in a patchwork fashion.  I added the printed type showing the subject of each photo & even made certain I used the photo with the notation of where, in the photo, my friend lived.  I used a green glitter Washi tape to outline the edges of the photos & then added an accent line of black down the center of the green.  After applying several thin coats of Mod Podge I gave it an acrylic finish for durability & put it in the spare bedroom.  Both attractive & useful.

It looks so much better now! I like how you repainted it white and how you used washi tape to outline the edges.
