Kittykill hosted the best swap, the Affirmation swap in January/february of this year. I made my partner (vgnmom) a whole book of affirmations!  I water-colour painted some card stock (would way have preferred water colour paper, but, everywhere I went in town had nothing but card stock!!) folded them just so, cut out the windows, and printed off a bunch of affirmations. Once I'd inserted them into the windows, I noticed it looked unfinished, so I bravely set at the frames with my sharpie marker.  I think the results speak for them selves. I was pretty happy with them!  I used coptic stitch binding to hold them all together, adding a few beads for a little bit of blingy sparkle.

Here are all the pages:

Once I bound it, it looked kind of pretty just sitting there.

An off shoot of this project, that a few of also made it into that swap package (and a few other swap packages) were this little affirmation windows. Just tiny little pocket sized pick-me-ups!

Thanks for sticking through it all! that was a lot of pictures. Cheesy

What a wonderful idea. Everyone could use some positive affirmation like that. I especially like the little surprise cards.  Smiley

Really like this combination of printed type and hand drawn detail. It's lovely.

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

What a nice uplifting thing to receive. How fun to be able to look at such a pretty book, and get a little happy message as well.
