Hi there!  I made this little fellow for my partner, tapestrymlp, in the Terribly Important SOB swap round 2.  Tapestrymlp is so terribly important that she needs her very own owl to deliver her oh so significant letters, and of course it must be sporting her house colors!  Go Go Hufflepuff!

The little owlie himself was done in Fimo clay and then painted with acrylic paint.  The little scarf is wool felt and sewn together with a sewing machine (which, I found, was rather difficult being that it was so small, but I prevailed nonetheless).  The pedestal he is sitting on is something that I made from random wood pieces that I happened to have, glued together, painted with acrylic paint, and distressed with gold Rub N Buff.  The top of the pedestal is a knob, then a pot, then a wheel, and then fat cylinder. I added sticks around the owl to make it look like a little nest and bits of book pages from the Order of the Phoenix are on the bottom, aged with Tim Holtz inks.

Thanks for looking!

This is just adorable Jilly!  The faces on your critters are always so sweet, and I like the whole composition.  It even has it's own tiny nest.  LOVE it Grin

I love the whole composition- not only the darling facial expression and the wee nest, but the tiny scarf! That is just wonderful Grin
