I haven't done anything with my hexies (and I'm still battling with the installation of the new Silhouette software...once I figure out how to back up my library so I don't lose everything, I need to do a "clean install," which means totally wiping Silhouette {as opposed to a standard "uninstall"} from my computer and starting from scratch). But, I have picked up needle and floss to make some Teesha Moore-style patches, which is good practice!

I made my own hexie template which will fit the embroidery pieces and my jelly roll fabric.  I can email it if anyone needs some hexies which are a bit smaller.  I also have the latest two designs hooped up ready to be stitched but that's about all I have done.

I found that if I traced all the patterns onto fabric it motivated me to stitch them up faster.  I hate transferring patterns and that is what stops me from getting things with no deadline started most of the time!

Now that I have a hexie template that will work with my fabric I am hoping to master making them soon!  Still undecided on what I want to actually make when it's all said and done...

I haven't started yet.  Cry

I finally found where I put my fabric Grin, but I haven't started working yet because I've been busy with other projects (and the kiddos). I'm like Lindy - Getting the designs transferred onto the fabric is my biggest hurdle. Once I do it, I usually blaze through the stitching and can get caught up quickly.

I've decided (again) to not make the lap quilt. Now, I'll have a bunch of extra floral fabric, so I'll probably use it to make some cute things for my baby girl. I went back and forth between making each season into a pillow or a mini-quilt wall hanging. I think I'm leaning toward mini-quilts because they'll be easy to unicorn zombie apocalypse out and to store. Do you all know how you'll be finishing yours?

I bought some red transfer pencils that iron the design on...it seems to be working alright...I just take a damp rag after I am done and rub away any of the leftovers...some of them I just drew on since the design was pretty simple...like the lamb...it is basically just a blob... Grin.

I think I may try to do the stitchalongs for the whole year and then maybe make one big wall hanging??? Maybe make them into hooplas of some sort... I have no idea!

I have been tracing them onto the fabric using my light board and water soluble marker.  The tiny basket has such teeny flowers I may have to refer back to pile of flesh to get those on right!
