Hi all! I made this scarf for my partner in the box of sunshine swap. It began as a long stretchy tank top that I found at Goodwill; I was looking for a scarf to decorate, but I really liked the purple color and decided to go with it.



I cut the hem and straps off, and traced out a continuous spiral.



and cut the shirt into a strip...



I used diluted bleach and fabric paint to get it to look spacey. All done!

Gorgeous! I like using purple instead of black for the base now, you've changed my mind.

What a great way to use old tanks, too! I have a few ratty ones that could be scarves. You got me thinking.
