I've seen a few vintage ones. And I guess I could use polymerclay and a old necklace chain...but what to use for the lens. None of my old glasses fit the bill shapewise?
I need it for a 'sherlock' cosplay.

Its a work in progress at the moment. Doing a female victorian interpretation of the modern 'sherlock's' outfit.
I've done all the foundation garments (bustle pad etc.) just need to finish my bodice and drapery to go over the foundation skirt. Then I can start on accessories.
(well when I found out the UK was having a sherlock con...had to make an outfit)

I'd look for magnifying lenses at a dollar store, then try a big box department store.  eBay would be another resource.
