I would not consider that a botched attempt.  I think this is a case of being your own worst critic.

craftADDchick - RE: The laundry.  I have the same problem!  Maybe we need to craft or embellish some fetching laundry bags or baskets as means and motivation for laundry transport.  Or maybe I'll probably just let it stay where it is and ignore it for as long as possible and then only pick out the few things I need as wash them separetely.  Cheesy

LOL! I actually thought about making some fabric baskets for each cubby in my laundry storage shelf. But, I think I need to wait until I get the bedroom painted (once I get everything out of it) before I tackle that. I did thin out the pile of t-shirts (I removed 38 from the rotation), and am thinking up ways for me to repurpose some of my favorites.

ActsofCraftiness, I love those button hoops, especially the blue one. It's funny that blue is one of my favorite colors, but not a single room in my house incorporates blue into the color scheme. I might have to remedy that! Wait! Does the bathroom count? Although, it's more of an aqua color, I do have a couple of navy blue towels...

gozer, I think that monster wallet came out great!!! I would love to carry that around and freak people out with it when I pulled it out of my purse Smiley

ActsofCraftiness - Welcome to the Nerd Games!  I'm glad you decided to join and play along!  You hooplas are so pretty!  I love how you wrapped the actual hoop...and such a great use of buttons!

gozer - What an awesome wallet!  I want one!  The eyes!  I have to say also...epic fail?!  What?!  Cheesy

Welcome to the games, ActsofCraftiness. What a great start! Your hooplas are wonderful, and I love how you did the edging, it gives them a finished look.
gozer, your monster wallet might be epic, but it sure isn't a fail Smiley Yours looks a bit more friendly than the original, and I'm all for friendly monsters.
craftADDchick, maybe you can make some temporary art by folding all the laundry in intricate origami folds. Actually, if I tried that I would just end up folding it regualary and piling it neatly somewhere else, hopefully where it belongs (what huge pile/monument by my side of the bed?)

I actually got stuff done today, my train was delayed so I had more crafting time, and even the weather cooperated and was sunny till the train arrived.

Tanath, it's bad enough that I fold everything with a Flip-N-Fold. Don't give me any ideas (how funny would it be to fold my t-shirts like a gum wrapper chain!)! Cheesy

I am heading to the store to buy some dinner ingredients, and by the end of the night, I should have my Pi Day item finished... And a picture will be posted (after I eat Smiley ).

Here it is! Although, I haven't had dinner, yet (I had a late lunch).

Battle/Challenge:  Red Alert! March- Pi Day
Team: Textbook
Bonus Points: n/a
Project Name: Cheater Chicken Pot Pi
Project Page Link (if available): n/a
Brief Description: In honor of Pi Day, I made a half dozen chicken pot pies to stash in the freezer. They are "cheater" pies, because I only cooked the potatoes. For the rest, I used the meat from a rotisserie chicken, a bag of mixed veggies (corn, carrots, green beans), 2 jars of chicken gravy, and the "unroll and bake" pie crusts. I mixed it all together, and then scooped it into some mini pie tins, topped them with the pie crust (only 3 are pictured, because the others are pieced together from the scraps). All I have to do is pop them in the oven for about an hour (since they'll be frozen), and dinner is served!

I'm making Chicken Pot Pie for dinner tonight (from my own homegrown chicken) but I'll only submit it as a project if I can't come up with anything else for Pi.....

Yours look excellent, craftADDchick!

Thanks, Ludi! I actually wish I had popped one in the oven for dinner tonight (instead, I had homemade granola, and I have a cake cooling on the counter). And, I wish I lived in a place where I could keep chickens, and have a proper garden. I would love to be able to say that I cooked (canned, baked, etc.) with food I raised/grew myself!
