Ludi, I missed your shrine in the thread, and couldn't figure out what everyone was talking about so I had to go back and look Smiley It's amazing (and now we know where those tiny radishes came from!).

Battle/Challenge:  May - Flash Mob
Team:  Randomizer
Bonus Points:  N/A
Project Name:  Tortellini salad
Brief Description:  Since the Mob was for Mother's Day, I decided to use one of my mom's favorite females, Julia Child.  I worked in the kitchen for almost 4 hours on the morning of Mother's Day to make a delicious lunch.  The main meal was tortellini pasta salad (cheese tortellini, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes, black olives, Italian chicken sausage, baby spinach, fresh cubed mozzarella, shredded parmesan, and Italian dressing), and some garlic parmesan rolls (that got a little well done, but not burnt Cheesy ).

Battle/Challenge:  May - Right in the Feels
Team:  Randomizer
Bonus Points:  N/A
Project Name:  Fresh strawberry cake
Brief Description: For dessert on Mother's Day I made angel food cake with macerated strawberries and topped it with handmade whipped cream.  Everyone in my family loves it and we always have it during special occasions and birthdays.

Battle/Challenge:  April - Honey, you should see me in a crown
Team:  Randomizer
Bonus Points:  N/A
Project Name:  Bird card
Brief Description:  My grandma loves birds, so I made her a pretty bird card for Mother's Day.

Battle/Challenge:  May - It's actually pretty easy being green
Team:  Randomizer
Bonus Points:  N/A
Project Name:  Whaley card
Brief Description:  I also made my mom a card for Mother's Day.  We always make ridiculous things for each other, and she likes puns, so when I saw the phrase "I whale-y love you" I had to use it.  I used up a bunch of scraps to make it, and I colored the whale on the back of an empty sticker sheet.

Battle/Challenge:  April - What's your sign
Team:  Randomizer
Bonus Points:  N/A
Project Name:  Flower card
Brief Description:  I was reading about my astrological sign to get inspired, and I came across the idea that the signs have flowers attached to them.  So for gemini it's Lavender, Chrysanthemum, Lily of the Valley, Orchid.  I made a flowery card for my future MIL for Mother's Day.

MissLovely - the salad looks scrumptious but that cake takes the cake. Mmmm. Strawberries! Neat cards. I like the flower one best. Very sweet.

Battle/Challenge:  May UFO
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points: Gold
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=433287.0#axzz31ce5M3N3
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I waited to post this because I was choosing between two prompts. I drew this out in the circle a while ago but never inked it up so it was a UFO. It reminded me of a cat from a book, The Survivors Book I: Summer by V.L Dreyer. It's a good book.  Wink But I found a different project for the book prompt so this is my UFO. It's gold.  Cheesy

LovelyMiss, you are making me hungry with your food posts! Good thing I am already full from dinner Smiley And, I love your cards! I have a closet full of stamps and supplies and I never just sit down and create. It doesn't help that every surface in my craft room is piled with stuff that needs to be organized and put away... maybe this summer!

gozer, very cute cat pendant! I love that it is upside down, yet still instantly recognizable!

You got it!  This is the recipe I used for the cake:  http://www.food.com/recipe/angel-food-cake-homemade-12591.  For the strawberries I just wash, dry, and haphazardly slice them.  I put them in a bowl with about 1/4 teaspoon of sugar (per pound), and mash them with a fork or potato masher.  They are good when they can sit for an hour (or a day) in the fridge, but I like them right away, too.  Most people I know use a lot more sugar, but I prefer the natural sweetness and tartness of the strawberries...especially when served with angel food cake because it is already so sweet.  And the cream is just whipping cream with a bit of powdered sugar whisked to stiff-ish peaks...I do it to taste.  Cut the cake, spoon on the strawberries, top with whipped cream...yum!

The biscuits are something I saw on pinterest...here is the original link:  http://realmomkitchen.com/609/easy-parmesan-knots/. They are just refrigerator biscuits rolled into a rope and tied in a knot.  (I tried them with homemade biscuit dough, but the recipe was too crumbly.)  When they were done baking I just brushed on some butter mixed with garlic powder, oregano flakes, and fresh grated parmesan.  I didn't have the recipe in front of me so I just winged it on amounts.  Cheesy

That meal looks scrumptious, LM!  I'm a huge fan of bread, so the rolls really appealed to me.  And the cake.  If it's got sugar in it, I'm all for it!

Gozer, your art never fails to impress me!  Love your little kitty pendant.  So much 'cattitude' in one tiny piece!  Grin

And Ludi, your little shrine is incredible!  Such detail!  I've got to learn how to do what you do.  Maybe someday, if my life EVER slows down.... yeah, right!  Tongue
