This would be fun! Depends on how bad school gets to me...sounds like around midterm time Sad could be a horrible idea for me to join during that time. Although it would depend mostly on my work-load and the send-by date. I do love fairy tales...(I do have an affinity for Beauty and the Beast) but most of my favorites are Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, etc.

maybe if I sign up, i'll have a partner who likes Red Riding Hood too...and has a little girl...I have a hooded caplet pattern I've been dying to get to...

Mariak, it can be any fairy tale. I am sure your partner could look up any obscure one. I grew up partially in Germany and I remember the Thumb sucker with the Taylor. Lol. Oh my gosh that was tramatizing then but I love it now. Ha!

i have no idea what that one is either will look it up, that is what i can do is some homework before the swap and see what i can find and learn about before hand.  Grin I would love to make (and receive) art based on a fairytale, the image you used on this swap is what i saw first and just HAD to click on and see what it was about.  Grin

I grabbed that pic off the web. I love images like that! I love fairy tales but I like them more interpretive as opposed to Disney. Sometimes its so deeply ingrained that it's hard though! I love altered fairy tales and retellings too. I was hoping there were people out there who would want to craft for it too. Looks like we have a fair amount. I think this could be an amazing gallery!

I would definitely be interested in something like this! A bigger swap would be fun - I've been ramping up my swap ambition.  Smiley Fairy tales are deep & varied enough that even a 5-6 point swap would be awesome, assuming enough time to craft.

Perhaps we could have 2 partners if we chose? That would certainly give more crafting options without increasing the size of the swap.  Just a thought.
