My mom recently joined a Good Samaritan group at church, and their latest project is putting together sort of care bags, i guess you could call them. They were looking for inexpensive bags to fill, so i pulled out my little fabric stash.

Those are great! I love the fabric on the first one. What will they be filled with?

Supplies like first aid, nonperishable snacks, wet wipes, toiletries, washcloths, water bottles, emergency blankets, etc. And i just found out some will have knitted hats and makeup.

Our church has something like this too. We do hygiene kits in gallon sized plastic bags and school kits in sewn fabric bags. I really should go through my fabric stash and get rid of lots of it by making the school bags but alas, I don't have the time. That's a lie: we have time for what we make time for. Bananaleg, you have been making time for some stuff that really is important. These look great. Good for you taking time out for others.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things dont always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things dont always spoil the good things and make them unimportant. - The Doctor

Wow, that means a lot, jexxican and Allons-y. Honestly, i was happy when my mom told me about the bags because i always somehow forget how much i love sewing. What better reason to get back into it?
