My oldest sister loves books! A while ago she found a skirt online that was made of book fabric, and decided she had to have one, so I made her one for Christmas! I used Alexander Henry Somerville Study fabric, and this amazing tutorial http://www.oneaviandaemon.com/hemless-a-line-skirt/

She loves the skirt, and it fits her perfectly. She wore it to a "What I Want To Be When I Grow Up" party (she went as a librarian)

And I embroidered a "sexy librarian" for it too, using a pattern from http://sublimestitching.com/ (this was the first time I'd done any embroidery)

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any feedback! Smiley

I love the skirt: the fabric print is amazing and the fit on your sister is great.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

I love this skirt! And I'm impressed of your stitching work, especially if it is your first time doing it.

I think you did a wonderful job. And the cute embroidery is fun, too. It fits the theme and fabric well. It looks like your sis liked it as well, and fits her nice. Your embroidery stitches look lovely...and your first time for this? I hope it won't be your last  Grin We have hoopla threads on here. You might like to dive into some embroidery trades.

NEW REQUEST: Need quilting fabric with ONLY purple, grey, green. Solids or Prints in any combination/shades, but NO OTHER COLORS ALLOWED. HELP! They are hard to find.
