I reconstructed a couple of t-shirts into garter tanks! For the first one, I use the front half of the Slayer shirt I used to make my bodysuit (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=430778.0#axzz2trqHOBfV). I used rayon fabric for the back.

For the next one, I added some fishnet/mesh to the front and back of an AFI shirt. The garter straps on this one are detachable!

Those are pretty awesome. i'm never quite sure what to do with all my ugly band shirts..

I carry a bag that says FREE KNITTING LESSONS on my daily transit commute, & give a little hands-on tutorial to anyone who asks. They get a starter kit with needles, enough cotton yarn to make a plain dishcloth and a set of instructions. Swaps/donations for materials welcome!
