My first coptic journal

I have always liked the idea of journaling, but could never quite stick with it for longer than a couple of weeks then I discovered the documented life project and decided it was exactly what I was looking for- this year long project combines a journal with a planner and art journal-with weekly prompts- it sounded very doable to me.
The project suggests using a moleskin planner because of financial constraints I chose to make my own-

I used drawing paper to cover the front and back covers then create the design using ink, colored pencils, watercolors and acrylic paints.

The back cover

I created co-ordinating tabs for the months of the year

I love it! And the idea for the tabs, I am so totally stealing. I have never thought to do that in my books. Some of mine have little threads/ribbons that stick out, but the tab thing is a great idea. I love the eyes on your moon. And the flowers look wonderful, too. I love the coptic stitch. When I find more time I plan to make some more books like this. They lay so totally flat when you wish to write in them. And a great idea to journal a full year's worth of ideas and adventures. I wish you luck on your journey for this. Thanks for the ideas!

I would doubt she would mind. That would be flattery in it's finest! I love the night, too.

I have seen many projects posted here that remind me of my pinterest by me. They did not copy, though.
They just took my ideas one step up. Or else they found inspiration in the same spot that I got them.

I often look at other works, and think "Wow...that is neat...what can I do with that idea?"

Run the field, girlfriend...I don't think anyone owns the moon! You can buy stars, though  Grin And name them yourself...but that is another project. Sorry, off topic. But she will probably be thrilled that she inspired you.
