I have a monster swap coming up and I'm trying to get a jump on some stuffies for next fall...yes next fall. I never have enough time, so when I make one stuffie, I try to make more. And they always need eyes.

I used mylar from candy wrappers for the base this time and I think I should have left more mylar showing, but I like them anyway. The original tutorial is here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=430188.0#axzz2tFYOOS9z

And a work in progress shot.

Wow. What a neat process. I have never seen anything like it. Those look wonderful. I wouldn't think that they should just be for monsters. Maybe...kitties...frogs...dogs...lizard...I could keep going, but anything with eyes.
At the craft store these kind of eyes are so expensive to buy {the teddy bear kind that clip on the back side}. What a wonderful way to fix that problem  Grin Paste them in with eyelids...there you go! I am definately capturing this one. Thanks! Just one note...not for babies  Grin Safety is one of my finest possessions. Sorry.

Whoops...just noted you also said the safety thing for the little ones  Grin

I glue them on with E6000 and always, always put a warning on the dolls "not for young children". I've never had an eye come off, but then if a child like my son got one....who knows. My son is in his 30's now and might be ok to play with a monster now.

I have used these for cat and dog and even a tiger eye. I like the lizard and frog idea...hmmm, more stuffies.

Must craft....must craft.....
