Wondering if i can substitute Canadian Glacial clay instead of Bentonite Clay in shaving soap - seeing as how i have the first on hand. I can't think it would be that different - but then, i could very well be off base, too.

To answer your question, yes it should be just fine to use.   Not all soapmakers use bentonite clay in shaving soaps.  Some don't use clay at all.

I make soap and other "cosmetics" as defined by the FDA and in my spare time I sew.... Sewing is therapy for me in dealing with life stresses and my chronic pain.  When I hurt and can't sew, I plan what I want to sew.  I also have a great husband, three kids and three fur kids.....
