My friend just had surgery, so I figured she could use a friend in recovery.

Meet Smitty.  He's the same color as the monster in my avatar, but he's different, I assure you.  I think he looks a lot like Gary Busey!

This red guy was made in the summer for a friend's birthday.  Note the lack of 3 feet of snow on the ground. Smiley

I just kind of winged them both as I was crocheting.  I'm horrible at reading patterns because I never pay attention, so winging it is good.  The bodies are wool roving that I brushed after they were done with a dog slicker brush to make them fuzzy.  The arms were done with Red Heart Curly Q yarn because I liked the way the colors changed.  They've discontinued it, so I'm looking for another fun variegated slightly bulky yarn.  Anyone have any suggestions?

So happy and cuddly-looking! I love your monsters anyway, and they're even better as toys.

Love these little guys. They are always so happy!

have you looked at Lion Brand Amazing yarn. They have a lot varigated colors, but it transitions slowly, so might not work for legs and arms. Looks beautiful on scarves and larger items.

Thanks, CMarion.  Always worth a try checking it out!  I never really need an excuse to look at yarn. Smiley
