as some of you may know, Ive become increasingly obsessed with using felted pieces as functional covers for books and candle covers, and my latest fetish for using old doilies blended into my felt.
A while ago I found in an antique shop a beautiful "book" for embroidery thread which was just ideal for a swap I was in.
Fast forward 5 months and I just knew I had to try and make one for my partner in the OGS.
The insert is stiff bordering card (that professional framers use to frame pictures) and the outside is a little felt fantasy. Theres 3 pages inside each with 4 grooves so my partner will be able to safely hold at least 12 threads.
I guess as I was making it, I had my eyes taken into my garden which was backed by the most glorious pink sunset.
Comments always appreciated x

LATEST project - I'm compiling a "handed down" recipes boom and so if I get you in a swap, would you be so kind to find a recipe from your childhood. type it up - if you want to decorate, then please do :

What a great swap project!!! Looks so pretty and what a neat way to use mat board!!  Cheesy Cheesy

Does the cover have any sort of closure to it?

It doesn't - but only because the felt is pretty thick and so it's heavy enough to pull it closed by itself Smiley

That is gorgeous- love the color!

Makes me really wish I could do nuno-felting better. Whenever I've tried to wet-felt something, I've always sucked bad.

Great job! Smiley
