Playing around with sunprint paper.  Can you guess what the objects were (it is not very difficult!!!).

I've often been tempted by this, I really am going to have to try it now, it gets such detailed results. Do you have any tips that you would care to share? Smiley

I've only ever seen plants and leaves and things used on sunpaper. I love the craft supplies!! Such a cute and original idea.

What are you going to do with the paper??

Kind of amazing how the various thickness in the button designs showed up.

That's really cool.  I really like the scissor picture.  How did you keep it from fading after making them?

Hello

Thanks for your comments!  I love how the transparent buttons have turned out and the eye of the needle.

I used sunprint paper.  Interestingly it says on the packaging to leave for 1-5 mins in the sun until the paper goes almost white.  The packaging orginates in California and I'm guessing these instructions are for Californian sun - as in Glasgow it took at least 20 minutes!  You then rinse under water for a minute and leave to dry.

I think I might try some more with lace, crochet & maybe find some film negatives (remember them!  Cheesy).  Maybe they might be nice to put up in some old frames?

Thanks again!

Trekky

ps) I just notice the website above has some amazing sunprints if you are interested!

Oh, my gosh, i don't think I've seen sunprint paper since i was a kid. My uncle showed it to my siblings and me one afternoon, and i thought it was the coolest thing! Man, this takes me back. I love the buttons and the craft supplies. I would totally frame those.
