My oldest daughter goes to a school that requires uniforms, but they can wear regular clothes on special occasions.  She told me a couple of days ago that she will be allowed to wear her favorite Dr. Who t-shirt to school on Valentine's Day as long as she wears something with a heart on it.  I had to think of something quickly and this is what I came up with.  Since my oldest daughter is at school, my youngest was forced very kindly volunteered to model it for me.

If anyone is interested in the pattern, it is up on my blog:  http://crochetbot3000.com/2014/02/hearts-on-a-string-scarf/

Thanks for looking!

Your daughter looks very cool in that scarf...sure she doesn't want one of her own? Grin

alwaysinmyroom, thank you.  My younger daughter might want this scarf for herself if it didn't have colors that matched or hearts on it.  She has a more eclectic style, which makes for some serious crafting fun especially when I want to thin down the yarn stash Smiley

Aww she is like me...I am more of a rainbow mix of colors, raggedy edges, mixed prints, and uneven hems kind of person...it is great for the younger crowd, but one me, it makes me look like a bag lady! Grin  so what!

I am going to make that scarf for one of my nieces...she would love it in almost those same colors!  thanks again!

That's an adorable idea! I've always thought kids with crafty mom/dad/guardian are sure lucky because they can request something and have it made!
