best new craft idea on craftster? Artist Trading Blocks.  If you're not in this swap go look at the gallery, it's very cool.

I had lots of fun making my block.  I chose a street art theme, and went for a back alley look.  I added some metal that I rusted up in vinegar/water and salt/water solutions.  The metal that didn't rust (must have had a coating) I splattered with painting.  I put four rusty screws in and wound some wire around, my favourite part.

The cat stencil is a piece by brilliant street artist C215, in France.  What that guy does with stencils will blow your mind, look him up.

The message is: if you want to achieve greatness stop asking for permission.  True in art and all aspects of life Smiley

Anyways, I'm happy with the finished result. 

(I ordered blocks online and they are not as wide as they should be )
