I'm not sure where this should go...maybe here is the best place?!  Huh

I made this pom pom Studio Ghibli soot sprite for valentines day for my boy.  It's a homemade pompom (I have one of those clover pompom makers, it's excellent and worryingly addictive!), with a pipe cleaner as arms and some felt bits stuck on.

There's a tutorial on my blog if you'd like to see step by step photos.

Oh, it's so cute!  I recognized it instantly when I saw the thumbnail on the front page.  Nice job!

Awww. How super cute is that for a pom pom little cutie pie.
I was 7 years old and made a chick pom pom for my mailman at Easter.
I had many pen pals back then, and appreciated his help with my packages.

Glad you have the pom pom maker, but for other members??? A piece of cardboard can work just fine.
I like the star and the heart. I hope your little guy enjoys this. What a wonderful Valentine gift.

Idea? Set it beside his plate with his Valentine pancake plate.  Grin For his Valentine breakfast. So sweet.
Any heart shaped cookie cutters? There are other foods that you can decorate with there, too. Tuck this little sweetie in the lunch box with a heart shaped sandwich. Just ideas. My mind blows up with those.  Grin

That would be so cute!  Probably don't have time to get a box of lucky charms before valentines day though (I'm in the UK) Maybe I could improvise with something like this though

those would! I didn't know Uk didn't have lucky charms readily available =X  If you have any asian or specifically Japanese markets you can get to these would work really well too https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=rainbow+drops&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=xLf2Uq6JEcmAhAforoHYCg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=643#q=konpeito&tbm=isch&imgdii=_

I think konpeito is actually what she was feeding them in the movie! Or rock candy bits would be super cute since thats pretty much what konpeito is XD

We can get lucky charms from Big supermarkets or import stores, or online, but I only live in a little town.  Might be able to get hold of some konpeito, and even if I can't I am excited to know that they are a real thing, I thought they were just an imaginary thing from the films.  So thanks for that!
