Ironic Insanity
« on: November 05, 2005 04:22:26 PM »

So I'm turning 18 on Nov. 25th but I want to have the party on the 19th to avoid the whole Thanksgiving thing.  It'll probably only be about 6-10 people...depending on which friends want to give up a nite of screwing their bfs for a party.  I just don't have any idea on how to go about planning it, what food to get, what music to play, and what entertainment to provide.  Specs about me: i love vampires, supernatural stuff (not Buffy type stuff) I love Alt rock and hard rock and none of my friends have food allergies (although my bf doesn't like chocolate).  Anyone have any ideas?  Please help

get yourself a bottle of tequila and play 'red, black, high or low'. one person takes a deck of cards and flips over the top card. them the next person guesses what the next card will be- red or black or higher or lower than the first card. every time some one guesses wrong they take a slug of likker. the game continues until they guess correctly. then the guesser deals for the next person.

if you have nothing else to do, this will keep you entertained for hours.... or until you're too pissed to guess any more. just don't mix grains and grapes.

have you're friends bring their favourite cds. the problem with hard rock is its a bit difficult to talk over and its not a fun to listen to when the volume is turned down.

if you can find a badge maker thats a fun thing to do- everyone goes home with badges for their fave bands etc.

i bit more info is required ironic insanity. what are your friend's interests? drinking (i have plenty of drinking games, fortunately alcohol can make the most banal activity interesting), dancing, movies, will it be guys and girls/ just girls, will any one be staying over etc. do you want this to be a quiet gathering or raise the roof?

i can't believe the drinking age in the US is 21. its 18 in new zealand, so by that age my friends were all tired of binge drinking. if the evening is not going to be centered around drinking, theres still plenty to do, but a bit more info would be v helpful.
