Thanks so much to both of you...I am knitting up a rainbow of colors for my length and will just knit until all the little balls of yarn are gone! Grin

Do you think it is better to make many smaller lengths instead of one huge length since they will be turned into blankets? 

any length should work as I have a plan for seperating it later into blanket-sized pieces.  Wink

for you.... 2 weeks Smiley The fundraising is supposed to go on all year til they reach the target but if we can get the scarf done quickly they we can drum up more money in a shorter time Smiley

I'd really like to add at least one section every week.  Cheesy

I was wondering this as well.

Oops my bad -meant to say this in my earlier post..

No stitch in particular. Its up to you.....how ever fancy or plain just so long as it's no wider that 40sts in DK/worsted weight (about 8" wide when I knit it Smiley )

I am using up some rainbow yarn...so far I only have about six inches knitted!  I am trying to sneak in an hour or so per day while watching the Olympics...despite any issues they might be having there, they are still wonderful games and the Russians should be proud!
