I saw this Instagram pillow on Pinterest and pinned it to my craft page. My cousin saw it, liked it, pinned it, and wrote "Want it!" in the comments. So I made her one for Christmas. It looked pretty easy, and really it was.

The one on Pinterest looks pretty small, but my pillow is 30 inches x 30 inches square, and I used felt for all the pieces. I'll be posting my patterns and video tutorial on my website some time soon. I can post still pics here, which show some measurements, but the video pieces are missing (sorry).

If you want me to send you my quickie pencil pattern, just message me. It's not a great pattern, but if you're in a rush to make one of these for Christmas, the pencil pattern is better than no pattern at all, I suppose. If you can wait until after Christmas, I'll post a nicer, digitally-designed pattern on my website later on.

Anyway, here's my Instagram Pillow! I hope someone likes my post and wants to make one for the teenager in their family!

Brown felt dimensions: 30 inches by 10 inches
Rainbow felt dimensions: 10 inches by 2 inches
White felt dimensions: 30 inches by 30 inches

I actually used a dinner plate to measure the inner black circle!

Sorry the next two pics are upside-down. When I make my video tutorial, the software I use makes it quick and easy to flip those right-side up, so I didn't adjust them in Photoshop or anything. But these do offer some measurements.

The "Insta" letters cover up any flaws in the rainbow pieces.

The blanket stitch I used here gives the impression that you can adjust the camera's focus:

This next measurement might not be the same for you, if you use a different-sized plate for your circle pattern.

I sewed a plain white back to the front, then stuffed with polyester filling:

I think I may have posted this in the wrong forum. Can anyone help me figure out how to move it? Should it be in tutorials? I never think of it as a tutorial if it's not in video form, but I guess some people might think of this as a step-by-step tutorial. If so, how do I mark it as a tutorial?

Ugh. I'm such a noob on this site. It's embarrassing!  Embarrassed

Never mind. I've checked again. Pretty sure this is the right forum.

Thanks Quantumphysica. It is very easy to make. Even though it's quite large (30 x 30 inches), I finished the whole thing during a Saturday afternoon.
