I have seen them done before. I have a table tree that is still up  Grin I love the twinkling lights. I am thinking to decorate it and re decorate it for the various holidays. Am I a total nut to do this? I think it might be neat and festive for this next year. Most holidays I can cover, but am at a loss for Mother's Day and Father's Day. Any ideas? I thought maybe just a spring time tree...and a 4th of July one. To bridge the gap. Then move on to a back to school theme, and halloween, thanksgiving, and back to Christmas. Please share your thoughts.

I do a Halloween tree and a Christmas tree. I've seen Easter trees before. It's a cute idea. You should do it!

Great ideas, thanks kittykill.

Tatoos of Mom images...she would kill me if she knew. But I actually like those. They should be easy to do up in felt, with the rose design with them. Those heartsy things that the guys usually get.

I like the tie idea, too. Little mini ones hanging would be awful cute. And maybe some matchbox cars? Like Nascar?
And maybe some sports themes...now you have got me thinking. Thanks  Grin

It is only a small tree, so a dozen or so ornaments would decorate it for each seasonal holiday. I just love how the lights twinkle at night. I have the kind where you can change the twinkle pattern, so I set it to music. And get the pattern on that goes with what I am listening to.

Most of my friends already know that I am a nut case...so I don't think they will be surprised. I have lots of old Valentines from my daughter's days at school. I think I will start there. Then it will be off to blow out eggs and plan some recipes.  Grin

St. Patties is a no brainer. I already have patterns for that one. And a cute little stuffy to tuck in there, too. He looks a lot like the little travelers on here. Beard and Irish costume. And a friend has a neat mini hat for the "star". I already told him I wish to borrow it.

I'm not losing my mind...I am finding it! I want 2014 to be the best year ever. I think this will help.

Thanks, kittykill. Your ideas were very helpful.

NOT crazy at all - I keep one up all year round with white lights on it. Just is so beautiful all year round. Sometimes, depending upon the holiday (the 4th, Halloween, Valentine's Day) I will throw some ornaments on there. Everyone who comes to my home remarks how beautiful.

Why not - if you have the space.  I know it is something that likely we won't do, because we don't have the space - and have a live tree.  If I still had my blue tinsel table top tree, I would keep it up year round at the end of our bar.

A friend of mine used to have a "man cave" tree and had a mini tree that was decorated with various bottle openers and empty beer cans Smiley

I would love to make glittered red heart ornaments for a valentines tree!  I also have a ton of plastic easter eggs somewhere just begging to be decorated.

I would love love love to do a Chinese New Years tree and decorate it with each year's animal - this is the year of the sheep/ram, coming up.

Plus - it would be a great fun way to celebrate the obscure special days - like Pi day, talk like a pirate day, etc!   Or personal loves - like a Monty Python tree, or Muppets tree - except then DH would probably want it to become at some point a 3 stooges tree - blech....

That sounds fun! I am trying to make a wreath for every holiday, but I  don't have them all yet.  My plans are Valentines, St. Patricks, Easter, Spring, Summer, 4th of July, then back to Summer, back to school, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter.
