Bonnet for a Play

I have volunteered 50 hours at my local College - in the Theater Department.
I was given the task to make the three bonnets for Cinderella's step-mom and step-sisters (for the play, 'Into the Woods').
They have to match the dresses.  And let me tell you - the pattern is difficult!

I did 95% of the three bonnets.  Here is a photo of the first completed one.
I will post this (without photos) later, in the 'Pattern' forum, because I don't know what number the pattern is right now.

PS.  If you ever have free time and want to learn how to sew better or use difficult patterns, I suggest volunteering for a theater department.
They can use all the help they can get!!!  I think you can even claim the volunteer hours on your taxes (maybe with proof).  And volunteering always makes me happy (I also volunteer at an animal shelter).  The costume teacher has shown me a few tricks and things I never knew before!

Wow!! Those are outstanding..actual ly alot more detailed then the ones in the broadway version (of into the woods) =o!!

That is one sweet sweet bonnet.  Too bad it's for a play and bonnets haven't been in fashion for a hundred years or so, or you would have been a little house on the prairie fashionista.  Looks really good nonetheless.

You don't have to feel little compared to me.  I had to keep asking the Costume teacher for help on almost every step of the directions!  I have never used a pattern before (I've tried many times), so I didn't understand most of it. 

I am sure, after her guiding me, I will be able to figure out most patterns on my own.  I hope.
