I'd love to hear more about how you created this Smiley  Really liking the black outlines, gives your piece lots of definition!

I started with a canvas board preprinted with a tractor on it for little kids to paint on! Gessoed it twice to cover those lines up and then used Adirondack spray inks, water and brushes to drip and run the ink around the canvas leaving a white area open to the left for the profile.  It felt more like the face should turn to the Right instead of my last one which was to the left.  I liked how it turned out, but really I still struggle in all my work with my flow of my acrylics and they seem to just smudge around and leave blank spots when I try to blend them and mix with other media like pastels.  The eyes I kept having to redraw because I didn't like the proportions.  I used fine posca paint pens to do the eyes and highlights on the skin and did acrylic black paint with a brush for the long lines and then did the pointed areas later in posca paint pen, I had done the lower left side points with the brush and wanted more of them as I surveyed my progress and found that cleaning the lines up in posca pen worked great as well as adding the pointed pieces.  I came up with the saying as I was looking at it, did it on white negative space that was left above but thought it needed more drama and painted over with brush to turn it black and re wrote the saying in white fine posca paint!  I really like it but this picture doesn't show some more clean up I did around the black lines to cover some carry over of the acrylic paint for the portrait, etc such as above her forehead where the flesh tone overlaps.  Thanks! Does this help?
