Hello everyone, I'm new here, so I hope I'm posting in the right thread..my prom is coming up and I'd like a dress that looks like this:
http://d5yjppyekae0b.cloudfront.net/regular/Prom-Dress-Sherri-Hill-Sherri_Hill_3874_green_3874-1.jpg
the thing is, I don't have much money so my friend's mom would sew it for me. I just need to find a sewing pattern for the dress. The bottom looks simple to me, but I figure I'd need a pattern for the top 'cause it's not as simple, I suppose it could be described as corset-like..my parents don't own credit cards anymore so I can't order from the internet and I can't find any magazines with sewing patterns in my country that have what I'm looking for, though I've been through lots already..can anybody help me, please?

I think all the fancy stuff is aplique on a simple boned bodice. You could get a similar look from this or this or this by adding lace aplique, sequins, and other yummy trimmings.
