This is something you can use for Valentines Day, Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc. I think it’s a great way to remind someone that you’ve remembered the little things and it visually represents time spent together.

About two years ago I moved to NYC for school and two months into that process I met my current beau. I always incorporate something crafty into his gifts and this is probably one of my favorites because I DIDNT pintrest the idea.

During a holiday market I was able to find an artsy map of the NYC subway. I was going to use an MTA map and boy am I glad I found this instead. I hole punched origami paper and numbered the circles. The top right is a legend, for every number there is a corresponding location, date, important place. I placed each dot in approximately the correct geographical location on the map. It was nice to be reminded that despite being busy we’ve made lots of time for each other.

I came up with 84 locations. In order to create the legend I used an app on my iPad called “Phoster.” I saved the image and was able to print out online using DuaneReade/Walgreens and picked it up an hour later at the corner. How convenient!
