Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy cheap jewelry chains? I live in NYC and I've discovered that NYC and Cheap are two words that don't go together.

I'm open to online alternatives. I'm looking for something with a little weight and not so light the ones i've purchased in the past. I'm not interested in real gold plated chains because that's an added cost I can't put up while i'm just experimenting.

Thanks in advance.

Thrift stores?  Maybe some flea markets?  You would really have to search in those.  I was at one that charged $20 apiece for small whimsy-type items, but then at another table, I got a BAG of goodies for only five dollars.

Good luck!

You can find a lot of great supplies on etsy. Maybe give it a go?
