I don't need no instructions to know how to rock.

I wanted a nice way to display my washi tapes while still keeping them very easily accessible.  I had a bunch of empty tubes from paper towels, so I decided to see if I could fashion them into something useful.

I just cut about a one inch strip out of each tube to open them up a little.  I painted the outsides black, even though you can't really see that in the photos.  I stuck the edges of the tubes together using my tape gun, and then adhered them all to a piece of chipboard, which I think I will eventually swap out for foamcore.  It was a little plain, so I added some tape to the edges.

I really like how it turned out, and it's actually pretty sturdy!  I think if it's reinforced the right way, it could probably even hang on a wall with Command Strips, or would work great in a drawer, too.  I haven't decided yet if I want it to lay flat, or if I'm going to prop it up like an easel.  I like that if I buy more tape, I can just add another tube!  Cheesy

I love this - I've tried a few ways to store them and this one is easily doable.
