Having made two sets of jewellery for my Cousin's birthday present I decided I ought to make myself a pair to wear to her party! It is fancy dress and I will be wearing long gloves (I am going as purple from head to toe, including a wig- and possibly facepaint! Purple is her fave colour - and mine, and the theme is something which reminds you of her)

The necklace is a simple strung necklace - but I think it is effective! The circles between the 'spikes' (I'm sure they have a proper name?!) are little amethysyts received in the recent bead soup swap - and the spikes are transparent purple/bluey glass

the earrings:

hope you like them Smiley

I love it!  The earrings go so well, and the spike or dagger or whatever they call them makes the necklace totally elegant!

I wish the local bead store would get more in!

I love beads, so I totally know the feeling.

There are a couple of places down in Anchorage that have some phenomenal colors of that type of bead, I need to go and replenish!  I will just bug my friends at the place in town to order more.  I know they want to, but the owner has to finish inventory first.

I have seen them at Alaska bead company too-  they have an online store and are good about replying to email inquiries.  Smiley
