I received a fantastic parcel in the mail this evening from psyche Cheesy I LOVE IT

She sent me Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop and a banner of family crests from The Game of Thrones books Cheesy I've never come across the book before but it sounds excellent. I'm so looking forward to reading it!

Thanks a bunch Jessica, it has been wonderful swapping with you Smiley I hope you like your OTT!!

I actually had another book in mind at first - Guy Gavriel Kay's Fionavar Tapestry, starting with The Summer Tree (have you read it??) but when I went to get it, I was surprised that I couldn't find it! So I went with another first  book of a high fantasy series I enjoyed. Smiley I hope you like it.

I love that embroidery, and those house banners remind me how much I've been loving themed buntings lately... Smiley

I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Night Circus. The minute I finished reading, I wanted to start again.

Me too, it is a great book!

Getting bit worried about my parcel - Germany to UK took 3 days, UK to Germany has taken a week so far!

Here's what I received from theboywonder!  I lovelovelove it! The cross stitch is a quote from my favorite book, Everything is Illuminated.  If that's not a great philosophy of life, I don't know what is.  The books are Fledgling by Octavia Butler (I can't remember if I've read aything by her or not, but I know I've been meaning to) and Baby Remember My Name: An Anthology of New Queer Girl Writing  I am SO excited to read both of these.  They're perfect!

Hi everyone!

I received my swap package from WeeFreeRhie and it's wonderful!

She sent a copy of Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey which looks very very interesting. She embroidered a quote from Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. Lovely!

And a better photo of the embroidery:

Thanks, WeeFreeRhie!

More hoopla!  I cannot embroider folks!  I've tried and it's just way too precise. I'm seriously impressed!
