Crocheted hats are quick and easy. I make hats when i don't want to follow a long complex pattern.

Post your list update when you can. share the pattern you used, pictures.

Here's a list of great hats

I love this idea, and I know plenty of peoples that like hats (myself included).  I will try these once I find my yarn stash (we recently moved).

Gspinn, I really like that Gingham hat! Were the color changes a pain? Did you crochet over the colors, or did you carry over the yarn? Hopefully you didn't have to weave in a bajillion tails!

The color changes weren't too bad. The yarn is carried and not crocheted over. I can take a picture of the inside. It was a lot easier then I thought it would be. The yarn is carried throughout so there are only the beginning and ending threads to weave in. If it would be helpful I could take a picture of the inside.

Thanks, Gspinn! If it's not too much trouble... I really do like the look of it, and if it looks good on the inside, then I'll definitely add it to the list!

This is the inside of a pink and grey gingham hat I made last year, I already sent the purple and blue one to my friend.

Thanks, Gspinn! It's nice and neat looking, and I think I can get mine to look as neat as yours Smiley

I'll be adding it to the hat queue as soon as I get the pattern!

Thanks again!

Impressive, as always, that1girl! I need to get back to making hats... especially baby hats. There is always at least 1 pregnant staff member every year in my school!

My friends are having a baby. The mom is obsessed with Bane (Batman supervillain).

I agree! I guess as long as it doesn't freak out the baby, it's perfect!

I really like that hat, that1girl! I like how the back loop stitching gives it such a neat texture, too.

I am hoping to get a couple of hats posted this year. I have one just waiting to be stitched together (hopefully this weekend!), and then I think I need to make a couple of baby hats (there will be a baby shower at work pretty soon!).

ETA: In looking over my list of proposed hat, I realized that I actually made one! But, I don't know if A) I already gifted it and B) I took a picture of it or C) Where it is if I didn't gift it! I'll have to look into B and C...

Here's my first hat (well, actually my 2nd hat, but the first one hasn't been located yet Smiley ). It's the Built-In Bow hat and I made it using 'petal pink' RHSS and a button from the button jar.

I'll be donating it as part of a batch of hats for something called Karen's Closet. It's a program in my school (and maybe the district) that provides clothing items for students in need. I think they can go in an pick out things they like... so I hope someone likes this hat Smiley

Haha! I have a feeling the baby will be born desensitized to Bane.

that1girl, i love the look of back loop sc. And the colors you used are perfect together.

crafty, aren't built-in bow hats adorable??

I needed a quick project, so i made this baby hat:

Note the back loop sc brim. Smiley
Now i'm working on another one for my cousin's baby.

Cute hat, bananaleg! I love the pom-poms! And, you're right, the Built-In Bow hat was fun to make!

I think my mom has picked out a hat she wants me to make (she's hard to get gifts for, so if she requests something, it makes it much easier!), but I need to have her narrow it down for me- she pointed me to a collage of hats, but didn't say which one or specify the color(s).
