My new year did not start off well. I was sick as a dog and stuck in bed for a few days BUT I used that time wisely to watch the entire series Sherlock. Benedict Cumberbatch is now my newest imaginary boyfriend and I am smitten with all things Sherlockian. It's not often that I create something for myself, but since dear old Sherly (that's what I call him... we're besties) pulled me through my life threatening illness (not really but let's go with it) I thought I should commemorate and celebrate our relationship in some way Wink

A 221B Baker Street Altoid tin seemed appropriate.

The numbers are a tad wonky but I didn't want to 'cheat' and just use print outs, I wanted to use materials on hand so they've been made with bits of bent wire.

And the inside...

The chairs have to be removed to close the tin. I'm sure with some fiddling I could get them to fit but it's just going to sit in my studio so I'm not too worried about it.

Here's a penny for size reference...

Some of the important Sherlock details that are included: violin and bow (very hard to see but it's beside the fireplace), skull, correspondence jabbed onto the mantle, slipper for hiding cigarettes, books, file folders, papers strewn about, portrait beside the fireplace (face from a postage stamp), tiny bat specimen.

I really loved making this tin. It was so fun to pour over the little details. I think I'd like to make another, larger diorama of 221B and go REALLY crazy  Wink

I am Sherlocked, too! I adore Benedict to the point of... um, let's not call it obsession, exactly...

This is so much fun!

I prefer a healthy and reasonable (not at all mental) appreciation of a worthy recipient. And by golly he is worthy  Kiss
