My partner in the recent mini altered tin swap, Alexampersandra, is a librarian and fellow book-lover. I knew right away that I needed to make something library inspired for her tin. While looking for a good library quote I stumbled across the perfect one - and BONUS it's from my favorite book series. Luckily, my partner likes Harry Potter as well. I made the tin into a tiny library bookcase. The shelves are painted cardboard. The books covers are painted cardboard as well with polymer clay used to make the inside pages. I covered the interior and exterior with scrapbook paper. I designed the silhouette of Hermione in Photoshop and then cut it out with my Silhouette SD craft cutter machine. The silhouette is mounted to the top of the tin using wire.

The back of the tin has a wall hanger so it can be hung on the wall, there's also a magnet so it can go on the fridge.

The quote is from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Because that's what Hermione does, said Ron, shrugging. When in doubt, go to the library.

Thanks everyone! Cheesy I loved making this little tin. I really do have to use my silhouette machine, way, way more. It's such a fab machine.
