I work at a hardware store and got over 200 Corian 2"x2" sample tiles. I'm planning on making a fold-able table with a scrabble board on top.

So I was wondering if anyone knew how to sand off the writing on the tiles? I don't want to damage any of them as I need all of them. I can get a orbital sander for cheap from work and know I need 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper but I'm not sure on the process.

Also, can a person paint on them? I read somewhere that I need to sand them a bit first?

If anyone could lend a hand that would be great!

Thanks!

Hmmm, I don't know anything about painting on Corian, but sanding them with finer and finer grit sand paper makes sense to restore the smooth finish. Is there one you can experiment on?
