Hello everyone
I'm making my first (proper size) quilt for my mums 50th.  I was going to make the binding from the backing fabric but it is cream and really didn't go.  I think it needs something bold to frame it in.  Any ideas?

I think I would go with the blue.  Very pretty quilt!

Definitely pick one of the brighter colors from the front that you like--pink, blue or yellow! Whichever one you want to pop the most.

Gingham always makes a lovely binding.   Beautiful quilt.  Your Mum will love it!

Blue? Pink? Solid I would think. That beautiful rose color. Or the puffy blues? Even that background tan found in some of those triangles...the darker ecru shade? At least that is the color it looks like on here. On the background of the tiny flower prints? I agree with the 'make it pop' idea. Whatever bursts your bubble! Beautiful quilt. I love your mix it up design. I love scrappy quilts.

Id go solid red. From the rose print. But i personally like the frame effect a darker or less used shade of binding gives.

Cant wait to see it done.

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

Whatever color you choose will emphasize that color in the quilt.  I would choose the color the recipient likes the most.
