Three in a row! can we keep it going?!  Grin

So, this is the corriedale, which I'd thought I'd ordered a pound of... But it was like just shy of 14 oz.  I"m going to have to double check, and message the folks it came from.  Hopefully it will be enough yarn for the cowl I'm knitting from it.  I did a test swatch on size 15's and it's LOVELY knit up.

Here is the fluff, just because it's nice to look at fluff Wink  It's nothing special, but taking it from meh, to WOW is the best feeling Smiley

What else is going on in the spinning world today?

This week I taught myself to spin supported! I'm expecting a 'real' spindle in the mail so I decided I needed to practice. This hairy alpaca out of my felting box is plied, but not washed. Ive got to run off to work shortly, so I'll take more pix tonight.

That awesome bowl is made by a local woodturner. So glad no one bought it after I'd spotted it during my Christmas shopping.

I want to dive into that fluff, Belladune. But it's yarn now so I want to dive into that, too. It's just so even and pretty! You really are becoming a master spinner. Good for you.

Alexus, good for you learning a new spindle! And sweet bowl. Very cool.

I have something I was supposed to share last week but I can't find my battery charger for my camera. Hopefully I can get things up and going and share soon. Hopeflly! I also have a personal swap with AmberKat I need be spinning some more Neon POP! Rocks yarn for so maybe that will be up next week?

OKAY! Now that I'm on my desktop, I can properly drool over belladune's corriedale! OMNOMNOMNOM!!!!!!!! Can I like, shove my face in it? Pretty please?Huh

LOL, anyway, here's my tiny first support spindle skein. I plied it on my yummy Kowalski box elder spindle. It's definitely at the small end of what I can do on a drop spindle, and I'm kinda scratching my head as to why I'd want to spin any finer. It's about a light fingering weight as a two ply. If I had chain-plied it, it would be awesome sock yarn! Buffalo nickel for comparison.

Thank you everyone!! You are all welcome to dive into my fluff anytime (teehee... That sounds so wrong, but I'm posting it anyway Wink )

Alexus, that yarn turned out wonderfully!  And that bowl is genius. I've only really used a Tahkli, but I've got to say support spinning isn t my friend.... It looks as though it's yours!
