Solitaire, it looks amazing! Is it a lot of work?

I'm about to start finishing some WIPs, so I can start this.

Lilibet, it is a fair bit of work ... but once you get into the rhythm it goes fairly quickly. It's just like any other round or granny square afghan, the farther along you get, the longer it takes to complete each round. But it's definitely worth the work!!

xyphir love the colors you're using!! love love love purples of all sorts. CraftADDchick I'm loving the way this color scheme is turning out. I had originally thought to do it just red and black, but the white really makes it pop!

I love it, that1girl! And, I appreciate that you showed both sides... I don't think I've ever seen the "reverse" side of this pattern. I can't decide which side I like better! I really like the pops of orange and yellow in the center, too. Nicely done!

I've put this project on hold while I made a star afghan, and now I have been busy working on craft swap projects.

@xyphir: love your beginning Grin

@that1girl: LOVE the way your blankie!  It turned out fabulous! Cool

Say girls, what's the best yarn to use for this? I have a variety of very old yarn, thanks to my gran. Some of it is cotton, the other is cannot find out. Sort of fluffy, and dreadfully thin. It seems to me that I have to use a bulkier yarn for this, or am I wrong?
I'm using sport-weight yarn for mine, and I've seen one in fingering.  The main thing is to stick with similar material (i.e. all wool, all cotton, or all acrylic) and similar weight (i.e. worsted, sport).

I gave in...the stitches looked to complicated for me to bother with, but the fact that the blankets come out so beautiful, along with the fact that I have a lot of yarn to de-stash...I just printed to row pattern and the in the round pattern.

Now I just need time to try it! Tongue
YAY!  Happy to have you join us Grin

preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'LadyBugsAndBumblebees') - if you can do a triple crochet you can do this!! Once you get the pattern rows set in your brain, you won't need to look at the directions again, unless you put it down for long stretches of time.
And completely agree! Grin
