I haven't done any bead weaving in a long time, but was suddenly in the mood. Luckily for me, I got a gift certificate to the local bead store for Christmas. So the next time my husband and I went on a date we ended up at the bead store. I thought he was going to be bored out of his mind, but he was really helpful and actually picked out most of the beads for me.

The necklace is the Picot Necklace from Beaded Allure by Kelly Wiese.

The whole thing:

I am glad the pics are large to show the detail...it really is lovely.  How long does it take to do that kind of beading?

Gorgeous! At first I thought it was tatted, then I was able to pick out the smaller beads. Perfect in either case.

It takes me quite a while. I worked on it off and on for a few days. Usually several hours at a time.  Maybe next time I'll time myself.

Lovely!  Makes me want to do some more like this too.  I've only done it one time but the effect is beautiful!
