This is an idea that's been kicking around in my head for a while.  Today was my birthday, and I decided that for my birthday dinner, I would finally make the dream reality.

I used this crust recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/bread-machine-pizza-dough/ though I'm anxious to try it again with the recipe here: http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001199.html.  Today, I didn't have the 12+ hours available to let the dough rest in the fridge.

The sauce is a paneer masala type sauce, made with onion, ginger, garlic, lots of Indian spices, tomato paste, and cream (lots of cream).  I simmered the paneer in the sauce, then strained it back out to use as a topping, along with some diced red onion and green peas (and a blanket of mozzarella, of course).

I baked it all at 400 for 25 minutes, and... it was awesome.  My only quibble is that next time, I'd rather have a thinner crust with a lighter flavor.  I used a dark beer in the crust recipe, and while it would have been awesome under, say, a sausage and tomato pizza, it was a leetle too much for the creamy/spicy sauce.  Still, an excellent proof of concept.  I'll definitely be making this again.

Looks delicious! I like the idea of using a beer in the crust, I'll have to give that a try sometime. I have never used a dark beer in cooking through, only light. I love making beer bread with Blue Moon.

This looks fantastic! I think I would try using a naan type dough and using palaak paneer as my topping. It would almost be like a white spinach pizza, but better.
