Ditto to all the love for these blocks.  It is great seeing how people use the sides especially, as I work on mine.  Embracing the 3d seems the exciting part of these.

Racky do those mini bottle caps come with the letters on them?
Dice for feet, brilliant.

Seriously, these are all amazing!

I am loving the gallery.   But also gnawing my knuckles since mine hasn't arrived.  l'm going to start another just in case I have to resend.

I feel so awful - I check the mail every night when we get home! I know you mailed ages ago. I'm keeping positive that it will be here soon though!

Racky do those mini bottle caps come with the letters on them?

They did. I picked those up years ago, and have been holding on to them for the perfect project. Turns out quaggy's atb was it!

Each time I see one of the blocks posted, I think "I wonder how big that is." But then I realize I KNOW exactly what size it is! The sense of scale is so hard to get my brain around, somehow. For example, Fancybutch's question about 'tiny bottle caps' made me realize I'd seen Racky's block as much larger than it really is, as I'd seen those as real caps! Grin

I love the way the different sides of the gnome block show different views of the interior. Brilliantly inside-out and non-Euclidean!

LOL - that's funny - it wasn't until you mentioned it that I realized how tiny they must be - my mind processed them as regular bottle caps too.

Ooh, pretties!

HSG - I love your little roses! You're so clever to use old dictionary paper for the roses. (I'm filing that away for future use *grin*)

Racky - your block is SO MUCH FUN! It's so cool that you incorporated so many of quaggy's loves.

MissingWillow - what a fun gnome party!

It is great seeing how people use the sides especially, as I work on mine.  Embracing the 3d seems the exciting part of these.

I completely agree!

I received from the uber-talented Onyxnox at the end of last week, and have been having a knock-down-drag-out fight with my photos to try to get them to appear in the correct orientation ever since. So first off, I have to apologize if these are sideways. I am currently on a PC and they look correct to me, but if they look messed up, please let me know!

Onyxnox chose my owl theme, and I cannot express how much I love this block!
First, there's a tag. And this is one of my favorite poems from childhood, which she did not know beforehand. (I love when that happens!)

Then, comes the absolutely stunning, beautiful, incredibly crafted block! The poem is stamped onto the ribbons, and part of it appears on the block itself. All the leaves are glass beads and she has hand wired everything on there to look like branches... amazing. And the moons! I love the moons.

Sorry for all the pics, but there is just so much to look at here -- I wanted everyone to get a good view! Thank you so much Onyxnox -- I keep looking at this and thinking, "I can't believe that is mine! Someone made me that!" Grin You pretty much made my January.
