Not to long ago I was introduced to Artist Trading Blocks, or chunky ATCs. The idea of making a 3D ATC was exciting so I got to work on my first block. It began with Arthur Rackham images and a "glue something to something" method (it's pretty liberating!). So, I water coloured some backgrounds, inked things, glued nature stuff wherever, and here it is:

The front has a tissue paper flower that I colored on, inked a bit, and then added seed beads.

And my favourite side.

Happy 2014!

Beautiful! I love how organic it is, and the little acorn feet are adorable.

I am loving those acorn caps incorporated. My favorite is the first one, the flower seems so natural to the picture. They are all very well done, though. Good job.

Beautiful! I love everything about it, but my favorite detail might be the wee cattails on one side. Smiley (I also love using the "glue stuff to other stuff" method of crafting/art)

Gorgeous!

I love how seamlessly you combined the 2D and 3D elements.

Other than the acorn top, my favorite detail is the seed beads, especially on the flower- the way they seem to glow from the inside makes me think of pomegranate seeds.

I hope you make more like this one!
